Practical information

Here are some practical information regarding the conference...

Social

Thursday we will meet at Bistrot St-So for drinks and nibble foods. This is a large laid-back cultural venue downtown. They serve finger food between 7pm and 9pm and beers/drinks until 11:30pm. We thought that, because we've been deprived of each other for some time, it would be nice to get some informal time to chat. If you feel like having a serious dinner - before or after drinks - Lille offers a descent selection of restaurants in the neighborhood or in the old part of the city. Lille is not too large so most of them are within a 20 minutes walk. You should book a table beforehand if you plan to do that. 

Food during the conference

We can not provide lunch thursday (due to COVID related institutional poilicies). You will find some food at the plaine images (there is a brasserie, a sandwich place across the street, a food truck in the courtyard, some small sandwiches / salads inside the imaginarium building). However keep in mind that these places might be busy so it might take some time to get your food. We will provide sandwiches for lunch friday, during the poster session. You will find some food on campus as well (brasserie, RU, sandwiches/salad bars) but you might be competing with the many students looking for food at the same time...

COVID stuff

The university asks us to check the "pass sanitaire" (and its international equivalent) for all attendees. We'll do that at the doors of the conference rooms so make sure you have it with you.

Moving around

The Forum will be in tourcoing Thursday 21st and in Villeneuve d'Ascq Friday 22nd. The easiest is to use the metro system to get there. Here is a link to the metro company (with maps and schedules)

Thursday 21st : The forum will take place at l'Imaginarium where the equipex Irdive is hosted, located at the Plaine Images, in Tourcoing. See the map below. The address is 99a Boulevard Descat 59200 Tourcoing. It takes 30 minutes from the Gare Lille Flandres / Gare Lille Europe to get to the building. Métro line 2 Arrêt Alsace

Friday 22nd : The forum will take place at the Lille University, Campus Pont de Bois, in Villeneuve d'Ascq. It takes 20 minutes from the Gare Lille Flandres to get to the building. Métro line 1 Arrêt Pont de Bois. Talks will take place within the amphi B7 (buidling B, see this map).

Thursday 21st : Social event : We will gather at the Bistrot de St So, for drinks and finger food. From Tourcoing it takes about 35 minutes to get there. Métro line 2 Arrêt Mairie de Lille. It's a nice 15 minutes walk from the city center.
